Regardless of your background or religious beliefs you are welcome to attend the gatherings of Çankaya Baptist Church.  We are an English-language congregation made up of people of many different ages, various nationalities and diverse backgrounds.  What binds us together is a shared belief in the gospel message revealed in the Bible, and an experience of God’s mercy and grace through Jesus Christ.

What to expect: We gather each Sunday morning to sing songs, listen to readings from the bible, to be led in prayer and to listen to a sermon from a passage of the bible.  We give out a printed booklet to each attendee that details the order for our service, contains songs to be sung, bible readings and any other information needed for our time together.  Our services generally end around 11:30 AM.  We then have tea and refreshments in the entry hall after the service.  You are welcome to stay around after the service as well.  You’ll often find members of ÇBC staying beyond noon to discuss the days sermon and the weeks events together.

Childcare: We provide a staffed nursery for children ages 1-5 years old during our morning meeting time. But all children and infants are welcome to join their parents in our main gathering as well.

We gather for our weekly corporate service at 10:00 AM each Sunday morning.

Çankaya Baptist Church (ÇBC) is a congregational church. That means that the gathered congregation of the members of ÇBC is the final human authority in the church. But we are also an elder led church. That means that the congregation has recognized men (as described by scriptures such as Titus 3 and 2 Timothy 2) who give oversight to the teaching and affairs of the church. Our elders (also variously called pastors, overseers and bishops in the bible) give their time to lead, teach and counsel in the church.
